PWR!Moves at the Missouri Valley Family YMCA in Bismarck
A community wellness program that addresses the daily needs of individuals living with Parkinson’s disease and provides year round access to PWR!Moves™: A Parkinson’s–specific exercise program. This program is FREE to the community and Y members suffering from Parkinson’s Disease. Classes are offered Mondays and Wednesdays from 2-3pm with a Parkinson’s Circuit Class held on Fridays from 2:15-3pm. Rocky Steady Boxing at Family Wellness in Mandan
Rock Steady Boxing uses the fundamentals of boxing training and additional Parkinson’s specific exercises to fight back against Parkinson’s Disease.  This program is FREE to the community and Y members suffering from Parkinson’s Disease.  Classes are offered Mondays from 4:30-5:30pm. Session 1 runs September 25-November 6; Session 2 runs November 13-December 18. Dance for Parkinson’s through Northern Plains Dance at Edgewood Vista, Colorado Lane in Bismarck
A specialized dance class for people with Parkinson’s, their families, friends, and care partners. The class allows people with Parkinson’s to experience the joys and benefits of dance while creatively addressing symptom-specific concerns related to balance, cognition, motor skills, and physical confidence. Classes integrates movement from modern, ballet, tap, folk and social dance styles to engage participants’ minds and bodies, and create an enjoyable, social environment for artistic exploration. Classes are offered every other Friday from 1:15-2:00pm December 29 to April 20.  This program is FREE to the community for those suffering from Parkinson’s Disease. Exercise for Life at Touchmark in Bismarck
Exercise for Life is a class geared towards people with Parkinson’s or other movement disorders.  It is a combination of PWR!Moves and other exercises proven to be effective in fighting the effects of Parkinson’s. You do not have to live at Touchmark to attend the class. If you are a member at the fitness center or you are a member of SilverSneakers, there is no cost. If you are not a member, there is a small fee of $30 for 6 weeks. You may attend on a free 1 week pass to start. For more information contact: Nicholas L.
